14k gold filled wire for wrapping

Last night I made 3 pendants with 14k gold filled wire and it reminded me what a pleasure it is to use. I love sterling too, but the gold filled has a certain quality I can't really describe. You don't really get any second chances with it, despite using the 'soft' as the more it is handled, the harder it sets. As it also costs heaps, it can be quite daunting to plunge into a new design not knowing if you have enough wire cut and so on. When it's polished, 14k has this marvellous deep colour and I think it really helps to frame natural gemstones.

Despite best intentions, it's been a while since I posted. One reason is that Artfire have been adding so many goodies I had trouble keeping up. We now have a Kiosk directly on Facebook, you can actually buy items directly from there. Amazing stuff. I've just added a widget down the page a bit.

I'd like to know what other people are interested in hearing about, so let me know. Wire wrapping is on ongoing learning curve, and if I can pass on any experiences from that curve, I would like that.
